The Scientific and Economic Committee  (SEC) shall provide assistance to the Coordinator for executing the decisions of the Consortium and shall be responsible for the recruitment of Leaders of the each projects within the TEAM-NET project.

About the SEC

The SEC consists of a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 9 people, among whom there are employees of leading scientific units in the world in the field of the project.

At least 1/2 of the SEC Members can not be employed in any of the entities indicated in the application.

At least 1/2 SEC Members have experience in transferring research results to the economy

At least 1/3 of the members of the SEC should be representatives of entrepreneurs operating in the area covered by the application (eg representatives of the chamber of commerce, a scientific-technical association or a cluster).

A minimum of 2 members of the SEC have experience in some form of restructuring of scientific units in the country or abroad (eg management experience in the field of science, which can be documented by successes in improving the scientific quality of individuals or intesification their relationship with the economy).

The SEC Members was nominated by the Applicant at the stage of submitting the application for co-financing of the TEAM-NET project.

Tasks

The SEC is an advisory and consultative body of the project.

Role of the SEC is as follows:

  • to select the leaders of research teams provided for the project,
  • to evaluate progress of project implementation,
  • to evaluate leaders of research teams
  • to indicate project development directions due to the economic use of its results.

The SEC shall prepare a decision of acceptance during the recruitment of Leaders of each project.

The SEC will contribute development of new competences by the units implementing the TEAM-NET project and build a competitive advantage in the field of the project.

The SEC monitors the scientific and economic quality of the project, its management and intervenes in order to introduce necessary modifications to the project, especially during the preparation of the report for the mid-term evaluation of the project.
